Connection

Our bonds with one another, the living earth and the Divine.

Care gives our bonds their worth. Connection calls us to sustain life, listen and act when another needs us. The Divine remains present as our feeling of connection changes. Belonging becomes harmful when affection and support are used to demand obedience.

Living this Gift

We practise Connection through attention that becomes care: sharing time, protecting the living earth, repairing harm and responding when another life needs us. We help people explore the Divine in their own way, challenge the shame and coercion that restrict them, and offer companionship whether or not they feel attuned. To honour Connection is to respect the Individuality of everyone within it.

The standard it gives us

A bond breaks Connection when love becomes leverage, departure is punished, suffering is ignored or a community protects its reputation more fiercely than the people depending upon it.
